Doubling Down On The Infinite Bard

in #fiction5 years ago

I got really bad at most things writing in the middle of August. Still got my stories for the week done, but I let a lot of other things slip. The podcast, for one. Announcing The Infinite Bard releases, for another.

I've already remedied the podcast. Now it's time to fix the other. I missed telling y'all about one Infinite Bard release two weeks ago, and we've released another today. So let's get right to it, shall we?

The Princess And The Assassin

On the 21st, Tony Jones released a great story called The Princess And The Assassin.

A little about Tony, from his website:

I’m Tony Jones, a freelance writer with a strong background in the physical sciences (I have a degree in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge), extensive experience of IT and gadgets and have also been a blogger (and tweeter) for several years. I used to be a management consultant specialising in IT procurement.

My other areas of interest include history, science-fiction (particularly Doctor Who), psychology, genealogy and music.

If you’d like to know more, here are:

Sensing The Storm

This week's bit of awesomeness comes from Kari Kilgore. It's called Sensing The Storm.

About Kari, from her website:

Kari Kilgore finished her first published novel Until Death in Room 217 at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, where a rather famous creepy tale about a hotel sparked into life. That’s just one example of how real world inspiration drives her fiction.

Kari’s novels, novellas, and short stories are available here at www.spiralpublishing.net, which also publishes books by Jason A Adams and Frank Kilgore.

Kari’s first published novel Until Death was on the Bram Stoker Award’s Preliminary Ballot for Superior Achievement in a First Novel in 2016, and it was a finalist for the International Vampire Film and Arts Festival’s Golden Stake Award in 2018.

Her short story In the Company of Women was named Silver Honorable Mention in the 2018 Fourth Quarter Writers of the Future contest. Her professional short story sales include three to Fiction River anthology magazine and two to holiday-themed anthologies for Kristine Kathryn Rusch due out late in 2019.

Kari writes fantasy, science fiction, horror, and contemporary fiction, and she’s happiest when she surprises herself. She lives at the end of a long dirt road in the middle of the woods with her husband Jason Adams, various house critters, and wildlife they’re better off not knowing more about.

Both of these folks are great writers, and I really was delinquent in not spreading the word about Tony two weeks ago. Fortunately, part of The Infinite Bard's deal is the writers keep the stories up, so you haven't missed out on his tale.

So go give those two some love, and have some fun while you're at it. :)

Until next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

In the month of September, I am joining eighty-some other authors in a Science Fiction & Fantasy book giveaway, hosted by Bookfunnel. Folks can get a copy of my novella, Veritas Morte, in exchange for joining my newsletter. If either that appeals to you, go check out the giveaway.

I'm also participating in Cheap Science Fiction sales promo for the next week. My novelette, Passing In The Night, is available for $0.99, along with a bunch of other great works from awesome writers. Go check it out!

If you enjoy my work and wish to help me continue creating fun stories, consider becoming a supporting patron here on the website. Just a few dollars a month will go a long way toward enabling me to produce more great works for your enjoyment.

And don't forget to sign up for my newsletter, to stay informed of new releases and special deals. Guaranteed to be spam free, and I won't share your information with anyone without a court order.
