THE BUS DRIVER WHO WANTED TO BE GOD by Etgar Keret -- A Book Recommendation

If you enjoy all things warped and wonderful you might enjoy this collection by Israeli author, Etgar Keret. These stories are short, accessible, horrific, and funny.

Keret is a master of voice and humor, but also deals responsibly with heavy subjects including the Holocaust and suicide. The joy of this book is the brevity and imagination.

The final story, "Kneller's Happy Campers", is much longer than the rest and was converted into the movie, Wristcutters: A Love Story, starring Patrick Fugit, Shannyn Sossamon, and TOM WAITS!! The soundtrack to this movie is amazing! Check it out.
