Chapter 1 page 1
Julio was walking down the beach the sand always felt good on his feet and calmed his nerves plus it was so close to the water he could watch the waves for hours and fall asleep. Julio remembered when his mother would tell him to be careful going and staying out so late. Every time he thought about her things seem easier she died when Julio was only 3 but she trusted Julio. Nowadays his wolf pack would follow him everywhere they would always tell Julio his father sent them but would never say anything besides that the “Alpha” or mother Lavina, since Julio has proven to be alpha but never wanted the title since he was not one of them. She came from the shadows and greeted Julio. “Julio is everything alright?” she asked, “Yes, why do you ask?” Julio answered. Julio knew they were connected somehow but could never tell how and when he meditated on their connection it would disappear. “I don’t know why you insist on lying to me” Lavina said pacing around him. “Then why don’t you tell me why you are here.” Julio said he had lived with them long enough to study their behavior. She stayed silent and studied the street “there” she said sniffing down the street a group of grown men were really picking on some kid. “Not my problem” Julio said watching, “look closely” Lavina said. Julio looked with his eye of daedra (his left eye with a daedric curse mark).
The kid was only six years old and was trying to pick a fight with some thugs judging from their flags they were part of the Englado crime family. His afro was messy and staticy his eyes blue but when Julio looked closely he could see his arua was interesting. Infused with electricity his arua were impressive. “Isn’t that the Senator’s nephew?” Julio asked, “Yes that is Antonio Reyes… his lineage is important” Lavina said and walked into the shadows. Julio walked over towards the confrontation. There were three men they couldn’t be older than 25 but they dressed nicely in suits and ties. “You seriously picking on some kid right now?” Julio said laughing, “you kids are very disrespectful these days and I am getting tired of this” The middle one said while walking towards Julio. Julio just grinned “you going to do something about it?” he taunted. At this point he was getting furious and he swung at Julio.
Julio saw the punch coming way before it happened, he side stepped and kicked the man in the stomach, the man when flying. He hit the other two hard but they caught him, one of the thugs blew fire but Julio redirected it and shot lightning right into his chest sending him flying. Julio turned towards the last man but he punched Julio right in the face. Julio fell his nose bleeding he was furious when the man tried to grab him, Julio stared into his eyes and he passed out. Julio covered his left eye it throbbed with pain and one drop of blood trickled down his cheek. “Wow! What did you do to the last one?” Antonio asked when Julio looked up Antonio was already in front of him. “Don’t worry about it” Julio said getting up and tried to walk away. Antonio cut him off, Julio could see the electricity work with his muscled it was impressive. “Thank you, but I had them right where I wanted them” Antonio said holding his hand out, “I don’t care get out of my way” Julio said walking away but Antonio cut him off again. “You’re not cool just because you can fight I’ll fight you right now” Antonio said his arua became steady Julio watched him closely “How old are you?” Julio asked. “I am six years old. How old are you?” Antonio countered. Impressive even for a Reyes to be able to control his own arua Julio became curious so he summoned his sword and threw it at Antonio
Antonio dodged it like Julio anticipated and threw a knife back at Julio. Julio teleported a couple feet away. Antonio stood there watching him closely he can teleport and control lightning plus that sword must be bound to the same move (Antonio thought). Antonio was faster than Julio making his close combat the edge plus he has better lightning control than Julio (Julio thought). Antonio and Julio charged at each other swords in hand trading blows deflecting each other hits. Julio couldn’t land a single blow so he teleported behind him and stabbed the ground and sent Antonio flying. Julio tried to teleport behind him but Antonio leaped off his sword and flipped over Julio while shooting Lightning. Julio dodged each shot and teleported away from the last but Antonio’s sword exploded with lightning and flew back to Antonio. Julio felt dazed and disoriented his back felt numb one more blow like that, things could get real bad. Julio stood up and watched Antonio closely his arua was depleted from all those shots and the trap but that’s not what Julio was looking at. Antonio’s sword was made of a metal Julio had never seen but it was perfect for conducting lightning, the metal seemed to sharpen from the electric impulses much like Julio’s sword.
Antonio felt Julio’s arua rising his sword responded to his energy in the same way that Antonio’s sword responded to lightning. This means he can’t can fight against that sword with Julio’s immense arua and teleportation ability but he could set a trap. Antonio stabbed the ground and sat down with both eyes closed. Julio didn’t know what to do so he watched closely studied his energy level and his arua movements nothing seemed different but his sword was pulsating with a strange energy. When Julio looked closely he saw what Antonio was doing but it was too late. Lightning shot Julio directly in the face and Julio fell backwards his face was numb he was disorientated plus his movements were sluggish. Antonio knew Julio wouldn’t attack if he was not fighting back so he took that chance to summon more energy from the ground to his sword. When Julio sat up Antonio was pointing one finger at Julio “pew” Antonio said and pushed his thumb down. Julio wanted to put him in a trance or illusion but something about Antonio’s arua that Julio took interest in. “So you just wanted a sparring partner?” Julio asked while Antonio helped him up. Antonio smiled “Yup but I never expected you to come over, did that wolf tell you too?” Antonio asked. “how do you know about her?” Julio asked, “Are you kidding me?” Antonio asked jokingly “The boy who cried wolf who doesn’t know about that.” Antonio said laughing. Julio walked right into that “Good one” Julio said.
