Wasn't the barbarian definition done by the standard method of stupid arrogant prat encounters someone speaking a different language, can't understand them and assumes it must be because the other person isn't smart enough to speak their language? XD
That is the original definition. Now it's "doesn't fit MY standard of civilised behaviour."
