Paul and Blessy discussed the dangers of confronting the sorcerer at night. They did not want Thomas to get hurt, and they were worried that the others, especially Mary and Sheila, who were from the real world, would also get hurt. Blessy said to Paul that Mary and Sheila should be sent home once the battle began. He agreed.
The next morning, Thomas escorted Mary and Sheila to her bookshop, where they would be safer. Thomas gave Mary a small blank book. He told her that once the battle began, the pages would have written notes on how it turned out. He bid goodbye to them goodbye. Mary and Sheila wished him luck and tried not to cry.
Thomas, Asahi, and Pierre then set out together to the land of the sorcerer. It was a desert and all of them felt thirsty. They had not expected such a land. Blessy had given Thomas a small snack bag, and he took out three juice bottles, and they drank them and felt really refreshed. To their surprise, it refilled again. So, they would not run out of liquids.
Thomas saw that there was a palace-like building, and the place was guarded by hefty men. He created a spell that made a shell-like protective globe around them, and no one could attack them. They could walk, and then Thomas called out the sorcerer who had heard the commotion made by his men when they saw Thomas and his party.
The sorcerer smiled and shouted that his prey had come before him and made his job easier. He kept on talking that he was the greatest sorcerer and that he would now be able to defeat Thomas and force Paul to surrender to him. Thomas kept quiet and thought about how he could defeat the sorcerer quickly because time was precious and he did not want his friends to get hurt. He started reciting a mantra, and there appeared a light that kept on growing bigger and brighter. The sorcerer looked scared for the first time in his life and tried to back away. The light went near him, and his powers started to fade away.
Meanwhile, Thomas kept on chanting the mantra, and the light kept expanding till the place disappeared, the henchmen disappeared, and finally it swallowed up the sorcerer too because he was darkness, and when the light appeared, the darkness dissipated. The light then vanished, and Thomas looked victoriously towards the others. They were smiling and all of them went back to Paul's house.
Paul and Blessy could not believe it at first. They had expected the worst. Years of fleeing and hiding, and now they were free. Mary and Sheila celebrated too because they could read and see the illustrations in the book. Asahi and Pierre returned to their homes, promising to meet later. Paul, Blessy, and Thomas returned to the real world, finally to their home. Thomas did not remember this house, but he went around the house, glad that he could return there. Later, he visited Mary and Sheila and gifted them treasures that he got after defeating the sorcerer.
Thomas went on to study magic and, together with his parents, was able to do much good for the planet.
