So finally the much awaited "FIFA world cup 2018" kicked off in style in Russia, and host made a commendable starts by defeating Saudi Arabia 5-0. One of the most impressive World cup opening match in terms of Goal scored.
Football is one of the famous game around the world, which require a lot of Stamina, Adrenaline, and Reflexes. Many players worked hard throughout the year to play for the clubs or play for the country. Federation of International Football Association a internation body abbreviated as FIFA who set the Rules and Regulation for the game organises the World cup every 4 years. This year too 32 teams are fighting to make it to World champion.

Football / Soccer and Team Formation
Football is played between two teams, and each team have 25 players squad. Out of 25 players, only 11 will make it to the playing team, of which 1 needed to be Goalkeeper, manning the goal post. The other 10 member, made a formidable combination between the ground to take on the opposition and protect own goal post.
The formation is like a Forte made with the 10 member on the ground, made in a way that unable to be breached. The Coach, decides all the mental work and make each formation as per the opponents strength. Each team member is assigned with the specific resposbility to protect the goal post and to strike as the game progress.
Basic Understading / Knowledges
The Footbal game has certain rules, which defies the logic for fair play. As said earlier, the Rules & Regulation are frames by the FIFA and applicable to all the team. Some of the basic rules are:
- Weight of the Footbal is 410-450 Grams (14-16oz)
- It takes 90 min (45 min) each half for completing the game, with some additional few minutes added due to some kind of stoppages during the match.
- Lenght of the Fotball Field 360 Feet (109m)
- Width of the Foot ball fields 160 Feet (48.5m)
- There are 1 Refree in the ground whereas 2 assitant refree manning the sideliness
- Each team can make 3 subsititute during the match, due to injury or as per coach decision.
These are few of the basic knowledges that I have summed up for all the lovely steemians, who are not "Crazy about Football" and looking up to bring more interesting stuffs about Football, as the week and the game progress to keep everyone hooked on with the game.
