Filipina Travel Guide #6: One of the things you can do in Coron Palawan, Cabo Beach 30 mins away from Coron Town

in #filipina7 years ago (edited)

Cabo beach is a good place for picnic, past time and for relaxing. The beach is nice, quiet and private. Cabo beach is secluded and a bit far from Coron Town. It's a good place for swimming that you don't need to go on island hopping tour.

Going to Cabo beach you can rent a scooter or van for families or tricycle. You can also ask any front desk from your hotel or any tricycle along the road. From Coron town to Cabo beach is just 30 mins drive. The tricycle fare is about 300 to 500 pesos ($5.90-$9.85) that is for families and big group. But for couples I recommend to rent a scooter for 500 to 1000 pesos ($9.85-$19.70) for a day depending on what type of motorbike you are looking for. All the way to Cabo beach you will see two roads pay attention to the sign so that you won't miss. Driving in a dusty road with the hot weather is a bit hard but when you reach the beach it's worth it.

The beach is not as beautiful like Malcapuya beach but if you want to go swimming in a short time without going on a tour this beach is a good choice. A good place for picnic were you can bring food, snacks or drinks. You can buy some snacks and drinks in their small store but check the expiration date before you eat. The entrance fee is 50 pesos ($0.98) per person, children is 25 pesos ($0.49) and shades for rent is 50 pesos ($0.98).

You can bring foods and a fish to grill. It's good for big groups and families with children. Most Filipino likes to celebrate reunions, birthdays, group out and grilling on the beach.

Cabo beach is not a cleared ocean like other beaches on a tour. The sand is not as white but it's nice to explore without spending money on island hopping tour. We've been here couple times and we enjoyed it. Some foreigners lay on the sand the achieve tan skin. While some Filipinas have a natural tan skin but they want to get whiter.
