Wow what an awesome video dude! Obviously it helps to have access to really talented subject matter and an amazing work in progress, but your job as a filmmaker here is also really well done. Great job of getting a nice variety of shots and editing them together seamlessly. The audio is also really high quality. And, a great message in the spoken words. Thank you, big bro. I really appreciate the kind words. I'm still learning on the job. I guess I'll get better as I do more of this 🙂 Especially with the audio, I had to learn how to make the best of my $30 lav mic, how to work with EQ and how to mix audio tracks. Came off very fulfilling at the end of it.
The sad news is, I'll have to go under a little more as all my equipment were missing with a luggage from my last trip a fortnight ago. I lost everything of value I had in Lagos. It's devastating and I'm still coming to terms with it. This work is really symbolic to me because it was my last ride with that little bitch of ours 😀
the luggage is just gone? Might it not still wend its way to you? That is super sad to hear if it is actually all gone :(
It will take a stroke of miracle to recover it. Today makes it two weeks since. I must admit I have lost hope. The problem is that the luggage, among others, was entrusted in the care of my friends whom I traveled with, while I went to tend to other affairs of the trip. And they are not too sure at what point they lost contact with the bag. Many variables: two rides hailed between, and hotel concierge mishandling. You can't press too hard on either when you aren't even sure. I have done my best, yet nothing :(
Ah shoot! That... is terrible. I really feel for you :( I know how much that camera and equipment meant to you, shoot, I jumped through some hoops to help you get it! I will pray for a miracle.
