Troll Hunter (2010)

A group of film students decide to make a film about a spate of bear killings, but as they begin to investigate they keep running into a government sanctioned hunter who appears to be looking into the killings as well. Although it transpires that the hunter is not all he seems, and bears may be the least of their worries.
The film contains numerous references to Norwegian culture and folklore, besides that of the trolls and their various species. For example, the goats on a bridge and a troll under it are a reference to the classic children's tale Three Billy Goats Gruff. At another one point Kalle (Tomas Alf Larsen) mentions an eating competition, a reference to a Askeladden story, a character that appears in numerous Norwegian folk stories.
