Hi @mandibil - thanks for your question... it's because women are indeed a minority in the industry, if you check out my previous blog, there are some key stats that back this up. As a minority, it's key that filmmakers more accurately representative of the audience watching their films. Also for women looking to get into the industry which is a male dominated arena, it's important that they hear the success stories of other females who have made it within the film and TV industry, so that it seems like a viable career option.
