Critic Reviews

Whether we follow Han Solo through hyperspace for more adventurous is up to Disney, but what we got here is enough to keep us coming back again and again...That’s the best kind of Star Wars movie. - Consequence of Sound (Michael Roffman)
Time ticks by at a drifty pace while lots of action of no great consequence grinds on. - Joe Morgenstern (Wall Street Journal)
Clarke, too, shines as a woman who’s made sacrifices Han cannot imagine. To the extent that the movie is a western at heart, its smartest, subtlest influence is the Joan Crawford classic Johnny Guitar, about a woman who makes her way in the Wild West against all odds, and in the face of all morality. - Vanity Fair - K. Austin Collins
The trailers sucked and the movie looked dull. Saw this last night and went in with low expectations. I left feeling the Star Wars franchise was refreshed. What a joy of a movie - and what a roller coaster ride. Fun, funny, adventurous and just had a very good time. I put this ahead of force awakens and crappy last jedi and above rogue 1 or whatever that movie was called. VERY excited for Solo part 2 - go in and give it a try and enjoy it for what it is, a young solo finding his way in a very large galaxy full of treachery and heartbreak. This is appropriate to bring kids to btw. - ragesteel
This movie is for the die-hard Star Wars fans and there are millions of them across the globe. - Umesh Punwani (Koimoi)

I'm going to see this tomorrow with my son. I hope it's good. In all honesty, my bar isn't very high. I would love for it to be a solid story, but it gets several points in my book just for delivering another film that builds on the legacy of my favorite franchise of all time.
