The Many Views of Detective Dick Japowski
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)
10 years on and the over zealous zombie ztomperz are still having a blast together surviving the apocalypse and having fun doing it. This fun team dynamic helmed by Woody Harrelson is as infectious as a zombie virus and deserves to be the top of your Valentine viewing.

The Arizona Case Files
Good Burger (1997)
A struggling burger joint has competition from a new rival, but the much loved idiot employee has a secret super sauce recipe which will bring customers running back.
Some movies are bad, and some while not being great perfectly capture a time or place. Good Burger is one of the latter. Kenan & Kel had their own highly popular show (Mrs Arizona and I have often recited Kel's orange soda catchphrase over the years) and this was the duo branching out into movies, and Mondo Burger is so 90s it hurts. I'm sure there are people out there that love this movie, but if you're not watching for nostalgia you're better off not watching at all.

Side note: Mrs Arizona loved watching Kenan & Kel back in the day....and fell asleep about 30 minutes in.

The Arizona Case Files
The Silence (2019)
An ancient and viscous creature long forgotten which uses sound to find it's prey is released on to the world, and decimated entire cities. A deaf teen and her sign language literate family decide head to the less noisy countryside, where they believe it will be safer.
A great concept squandered by trying to fit every element of the source material into 90 minutes.

The adventures of Bob and Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew (1983)
The first cinematic outing from SCTV s a very silly and often hilarious affair. The movie focuses on a plan to get free beer by putting mice in beer bottles and goes from there! Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas are great as the squabbling brothers as is Max von Sydow as the beer baron. Big thumbs up ay!

The Arizona Case Files
The Money Pit (1986)
A cash-strapped laywer and his girlfriend make what they believe to be a sound investment, a million dollar home at a fifth the price. But the dream home quickly becomes a nightmare.
Some great disaster comedy set pieces, and the moment Tom Hanks gets swallowed by the floor is poor gold. The problem is the heart of the film revolves around the relationship between Hanks and Shelley Long, and I couldn't have cared less about it.

The Arizona Case Files
The Invention of Lying (2009)
In a world where everyone tells the honest truth every time, even when it's not asked for, one man discovers he can tell people whatever he wants.
You can always rely on Ricky Gervais to deliver something original in the comedy game, and his first feature behind the camera is no different, a great idea with some genuinely funny and heartwarming moments.

Hero at Large (1980)
John Ritter stars as a struggling New York actor who takes the job of promoting the new captain avenger movie by wearing the costume at the premiere of the new movie. He soon finds he has a taste for heroics, tackling the cities crime singlehandedly!
Likeable but largely forgettable. Ritter is great, but doesn't get much of a script to play with unfortunately.

Parasite (2019)
Finally we have an Oscar winner I can get behind! Couldn't be happier seeing this South Korean film getting all the recognition, as it deserves to be seen by all. It looks great, sounds great and feels great. A great time for movie watching at the moment.
This is one parasite you'll be happy to have!
