Setting up a New Studio

I hope all is well with you out there!

Some big changes at this end. I'm moving out of Toronto to a small town east of the city called Trenton. We bought a new home there and I'm looking forward to finalizing everything on September 23rd., 2020. So to say I'm busy right now is an understatement.

Nonetheless, at the same time, I'm re-organizing my film business strategy as well. One of the reasons for my move is to have the space to set up a permanent studio. COVID 19 has dramatically changed the audition process. Before COVID 19 we would receive our scene sides (lines) by email usually the night before, prepare, and then march down to the Casting Directors office to audition the next day at a pre-determined time to audition. Because of COVID we are still sent our scene by email but we're asked to prepare a selfie - a digital video - of the same and upload it to the Casting Director's site by a specific date. Although this process was a suggested interim step, the Casting Directors are finding it efficient, so I suspect selfie auditions will remain at least a part of the audition process future. Hence, my indeed for a new studio space.

I will keep you posted on audition developments and will save my next video to kick off the new studio.

Until then stay safe and be well.

Good luck with the new place. :-)

Hey Brian! Hope you are well and coping with these difficult times. Moving house must be extra stressful around now, but I hope it goes smoothly. Film-making is going to be tricky now. I know some people are making movies via Zoom, but that is a bit limited. Things are going to be difficult for a while yet, but there may be opportunities for independents as people crave fresh entertainment.

Stay well.

BTW Do you play guitar or was that picture for a role?

Hi brian, long time no see. I hope you are doing well
