Peter Jackson is planning to make a total different Frist World War film by using old footage and using modern day restoring techniques to making them look like they have been shot today, in full HD and sharp images.
In the video you below you can see some examples of their editing. The goal is to visualize that these people shown were real people who lost their lives, making them lifelike. This gets easily forgotten when seeing them on that old scratchy, noisy footage. This will go along with 600 hours of audio they have of time witnesses. This sounds like a captivating project and Peter Jackson promises us that his First Wold War Film will something unseen before. More information on the IWM website.
