Adam got his power "granted" to him through delegation. Someone with lots of power sitting around loaned some of his power to Adam through delegation. They do this because they think certain individuals will pull more people into the Steemit platform. A lot of times what you see happening is these individuals start making shit post, stupid memes or other postings that lack any sense of quality, information or value to them then they upvotes themselves to make hundreds of dollars. I am not saying everything Adam has done qualifies as not having any redeeming value to the amount of money taken out because that would be a lie. His post usually are a exception rather then the rule, meaning a fair share lack the quality to earn hundreds of dollars. It would be nice to see him deciphering the difference and allocating his upvote accordingly, like say shit post upvotes to less than fifty bucks to be fair to everyone who spends hours writing quality stuff, earns less because they don't have a big donated delegation then has to turn around and get less in the long run from the rewards pool because it's a big pot of money distributed to everyone and if someone is taking huge chunks from it all the time that's less for everyone else's share.

Do you understand how delegations work, Ben? Of course he owns his own wallet. Are “the American people” to trust an individual and his inner circle of “custodians” to decide where billions and billions of dollars will be allocated, who upvotes his own single sentence comments at 100 dollars? Who cannot pay companies he utilized for services rendered? That’s the point. Sure, the wallet is his, and @jamesc was also unhappy about some of his choices. Many of us don’t wish to put centralized decision making power in his hands. Get it?
