Immutability is the biggest appeal of blockchain for me.
Immutability brings accountability. A database can have a dropped table. It can have a sync issue caused by a vendor or API outage. Blockchains can have the same problems - not interfacing with a source, or a submission of a transaction, but once something has occurred, it is signed, it is an irrefutable fact, once consensus is established between the nodes.
Blockchains would make the investigations a hell of a lot easier.
