the practice of harvesting fish from the stream, pond, dam and so on, is regarded as 'kom z3bu' in the local parlance. this is usually communicated to the community before its done. no one is supposed to harvest the fish alone but its to be done whiles all community members who wish to partake are around.
i walked to the event to see how it was to be done with my team mates. its however a dangerous event as its done with cutlasses by some people. some prefer to use baskets to search for the fish. a lovely experience i must say!
