Last summer I was working in Charleston, SC and on most weekends I would go out and do a little saltwater fishing. This time I was at Sullivan's Island, a beautiful island on the coast next to Charleston. I was having fun fishing with shrimp and cut bait, and there were several other folks fishing as well, but no one was catching anything.
Right after the sun went down behind us, we were treated to a spectacular moonrise over the Atlantic. It was mesmerizing. As soon as the moon got up in the sky a little, the fish started biting. It was like the moon was their dinner bell!
If you ever go to Charleston and want to do a little surf fishing, this is a really good spot at the causeway that runs between Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms, on Hwy 73.
