Hello again!
Ever wanted to determine what happens to your foot when you walk? Whether you overpronate, supinate, or stay neutral? You can!
Both your footprint and your shoes give you insight into what happens when you walk.
All you need to do is take a close look.
A supinator will show the classic "high arch" footprint where all you see is the heel and ball of the foot with little in the middle. Their shoe wear pattern will stay all along the outside from heel to toe.
A neutral foot will have a smooth transition from heel to toe. The shoes will shoe wear on the outer side of the heel and a nice even distribution along the ball of the foot.
An overpronating foot will leave a very broad footprint. Mild to moderate cases will still wear on the outside of the heel but transition more towards the inside edge at the ball of the foot. Severe overpronation will show you wearing down even the inner edge of the heel as your arch collapses.
