Floods are worried every year in the rainy season due to not being able to construct flood control dam in a few years, hundreds of thousands of people in the east of the capital. The floods in different parts of the country and the surrounding rivers of Dhaka are increasing due to flood situation due to the flood.

But the flood prediction and warning center says that the danger of flooding is low because these areas are still under danger. And the water development board demanded that new work has been started to build permanent dams.

Just a few days before the water level in the adjacent areas of the Balu river and the other places on the banks of the river, water has increased in several areas. Locals feared, the lower area of Dhaka's eastern region could be flooded when the flood water of other districts was reduced to Shitalakshya and nearby neighboring rivers.

There are fisheries and livestock farms in almost all areas of Trimohani, Durgapur, Gournagar, Dasherkandi, Mastamajis, Khilgaon, Nasirabad and Demra. Khamrari is very worried due to the increase in water. Many people have prepared in advance to protect the farm.

Residents have been taking several steps by taking possession of the land, but residents of Barsha do not get embroiled in the rainy season. However, if there is no heavy rainfall, there is no danger of floods, said flood forecast and warning center.

The water development board said that, after the floods of 1998, steps were taken to construct a nearly 30 kilometer long dam from Lalbagh to Tongi. Work is going on aiming to ensure its diverse use.

There is no way to prevent excessive water coming due to some bypass roads in the east, but there is no control system, said the residents.
