In a quiet place and roadside verge we found these unique hybrids of the Common Spotted Orchid, they grow right next to the main road where most people walk straight past them without ever noticing these wonderful flowers.
And along a public footpath we found this lovely stand of the same flowers, so nice to see native orchids in their natural setting.
Along the same path are these Cowslips under the trees and lots of throngs of Wood Cranesbills below.
Another rarity right alongside the footpath in Upper Teesdale are these Mountain Everlasting with their silvery under leaves, again hundreds of folks walk right past them in their designer walking gear heads down and seeing little of what is around them.
Not forgetting the jewel in the crown of Teesdale are the vivid azure of the Spring Gentian.
The common dog violets in our allotment, here we leave all of the wild flowers intact and the fauna thrives in such conditions.
The old growth Sycamore tree on the village green at Redmire Wensleydale, a wonderful freind on a hot summers walk in the traditional meadows nearby.
Culloden tower Richmond Yorkshire, here is a really nice flower meadow walks with some of the flower mentioned in this tour of Yorkshire my Dales flower Series, built in 1749 for the Yorke family, and open to the public again this summer, now owned by the Landmark Trust as a holiday cottage.
