This particular Callistemon flower is called Pink Champagne, a very fitting name. Callistemons, also known as the Bottlebrush, grow to about two metres tall. The Bottlebrush flowers attract honeyeaters and other nectar eating birds, bees, insects, and even Ringtail possums who love to eat the flowers.

The foliage of the shrub or small trees have an attractive silvery green colour which looks beautiful even when it's not in flower.

That's quite something! I assume it's a cultivar although I guess we won't be seeing them here: bottlebrush has been declared an invader
