This is one of the most frightening legends that a Venezuelan child or teenager can hear, and we even internalize it so much that it can accompany us for years or our entire lives. If I'm not mistaken, I think there are similar versions in other Latin American countries, such as Mexico. Yes, in fact there are songs from other countries that speak of this legend. In particular, I think that the experience that people have with this type of apparitions is what allows their stories to be maintained over time. Thanks for your comment, @josemalavem.
