Steamed fish with laska leaves recipe.

Ingredients.

  • 400 grams of markerel.
  • 2 shallots (finely chopped).
  • 1 onion (cut into wedges).
  • 2 wood ear mushrooms.
  • Laska leaves.
  • Salt, sugar, black pepper, fish sauce.

Instructions.

  • Drain and rinse the markerel fish.
  • Marinade fish with shallot, salt, sugar, black pepper and fish sauce for about 15 minutes for soak up.
  • Put mushrooms in a bowl and cover with hot water for about 15 minutes. Drain and rinse mushrooms, trim off any hard part of mushrooms. Then cut it into 1 inch.
  • After 15 minutes, steam fish with mushrooms, onion and laska leaves for about 20 minutes or until cooked.
  • Prepare the dipping sauce: mix well salt, sugar, black pepper, chilli (optional), fresh lime juice and green mustard paste (optional).
  • Serve hot with dipping sauce.
