Adulteration of food and it's effect

Food adulteration is the process of making food by mixing others substances or chemical which are harmful to human body. Adulterated food is impure, unsafe and unwholesome. Food is adulterated in many ways.Carbide, Formalin, heavy metal, chemical, textile colours, artificial sweetens etc. are used to adulterate different types of foods. In the hotel and restaurant, foods are adulterated by mixing stale and rotten foods with the fresh food. Fish and vegetables are adulterated by putting them chemical and other preservatives so that they look fresh. Bakery and Confectionery product are also adulterated by using poisonous substances. Even fruits, milk and beverages are also adulterated.

But man cannot live without food. It is essential for health and life. But food can be threatening to human health if it is not pure, clean and fresh. Adulterated food is a serious health hazard. It causes serious fatal diseases. Food adulteration should be removed at any cost.

Food adulteration has become an alarming problem in our country. If we do not prevent the problem it will spoil our future generation. The government should enact the laws and bring the criminal under trail. At the same time we should prevent food adulteration at any cost.
