Hello Steemit

I was reading through a book about food today and I found some very interesting facts that I think you might want to know about. Here goes:

Did you know?

Carrots are the second most popular vegetable in the world, after potatoes! Really? Didn't know that either!

The grey field slug has the potential to produce up to 90,000 grandchildren in its lifetime. What a slug!!!

White asparagus, grown in tunnels without sunlight, is a more popular vegetable in Germany, the Netherlands and France than green asparagus.

Australians are the biggest consumers of beetroots in the world. Fast-food chains even serve burgers with slices of the vegetable inside the bun! Way to go Aussies!!
