Hi Friends... I am here today with a colorful Dosa recipe, using spring onions...
This Dosa tastes much good with the mild flavor of spring onions and it's light green color, for sure grabs the attention of everyone at home !!

To start with we need...
Rice - 2 cups (preferably dosa rice)
Grated Coconut -2 Table spoon.
Spring onion - 3 or 4 plants
Salt for taste
Coconut oil to make Dosas

Soak rice for 4 to 5 hours.
Clean and chop spring onions into small pieces.

Grind rice with grated Coconut to a thin paste. Before removing this from the mixie, add chopped spring onion pieces and just turn 1 or 2 rounds. The pieces get half cut and the dosa batter turns into light green color. Add salt for taste. We can even add one finely chopped green chilly and chopped coriander leaves. The batter should not be too thick.

Take a fry pan, put one teaspoon coconut oil and spread a cup of dosa batter. Try to make these Dosas as thin as possible. Only one side frying, but keep covered.(no need to turn the dosa.)

Yummy Tasty green Dosas are ready to eat either with Coconut Chutney or pickle!

Here, it's a season of spring onions now.
Hope you guys liked this post. With lots of love, @geetharao...

A cool dish, nothing complicated and at the same time it’s new for me, thanks I’ll definitely try to create one
We eat dosa on a regular basis but never tried with spring onions.

Thank you...
How is an uttapam different than a dosa? If you add something like onion to the dosa batter and make it a little thicker, does that become Uttapam? Or does that need to be fried on both sides?
Uttappam is usually made with leftover Idli or dosa batter. So it contains black gram Dal along with rice and is a fermented batter. To this batter when chopped onions, carrots and tomato pieces are added it becomes uttappam batter. Yes, has to be fried on both sides.
Here we use only rice and coconut, as we make for 'neer dosa'. No fermentation needed.
Dosa my favourite but this onion dosa not try me looking great .
