I made this post to show case one of the seasonal food widely consumed in Nigeria at this period of the year. It is called maize or corn. It has a life span of three to four month from the time of planting to harvesting time, for example,here is the planted maize in a garden.
The next photo here shows the harvested corn.
In Nigeria, the consumption of this seasonal food are in different forms but the most common and popular and also widely eating this period of the year, is through the process of roasting with the local oven and charcoal as you can see the demonstration on this uploaded picture.It may interest you to know the roasted corn is being eating with the combination of roasted pears altogether to give it a good test.So is a good food that nourishes the body. There are other economic benefits we get from maize like processing it for animal feed. and extraction of starch for industrial use.
