We checked Yelp and chose the most highly rated restaurant in Kelowna - Raudz for dinner. We got lucky that we didn't have to line up, but still spent a long time waiting for the food to arrive in the crowded restaurant.
I thought it'd make sense to order beef dishes (since Kelowna is close to Alberta - the beef province), but my husband didn't feel like a steak. We ended up ordering "fish of the day" combo, beef burger combo and a duck breast poutine.
Among all three my favorite is the beef burger combo, which is also the most popular dish that everyone ordered. You can tell the beef patty was outstanding, and everything else that came with it tasted great too. I've had better "fish of the day" before, and the poutine was a disappointment - there was very little duck in there and tasted very plain.
What impressed me the most is the lollipop they gave us when we pay the bill - freshly made peach lollipop with no preservatives! Definitely the best candy I've ever had in my life, not kidding!
Overall Raudz is not bad but a bit overrated.
