A relaxed Saturday afternoon...

We've all been there. A tough week which seems like it never wants to end, 12 hour days at work, sick kids at home making for some restless nights.. By the end of the week you feel completely drained and void of energy. So when Saturday comes along and you don't even feel like cooking you just want to go somewhere, sit down look at something relaxing and peaceful and have a nice lunch.

Thats exactly the experience we got yesterday without expecting it at the very least. My wife and I took the kids to the Waterpolo club in Ta' Xbiex and it was one of the best lunches we had in quite a while

Nothing felt more relaxing then sitting down having lunch (and having a great glass of Chablis) whilst taking in the sights of the Grand Harbour

I had a great plate of pasta

While my wife went for the chicken burger and the kids went for Pizza as well as some of our food but all in all the food was flawless as was the service!

Even though I am quite a sweet tooth we felt so full after the meal that we did not opt for dessert instead we went for a walk along the marina. The weather was initially perfect for that (being a nice fresh north wind) but then it became a bit too hot once the sun took over matters, but we still managed some distance.

In the evening we decided to finish the day the off with a boat trip from Sliema to Valletta (the capital city) which was hosting the annual Notte Bianca event.

Above you can see a photo of the square where Caffe Cordina is located.

And finally

Pjazza San Gorg majestically lit up for the event.

Have a good Sunday. Till the Next
