Today I made steamed cakes also named kue mangkok (:
Ingredients:
- Rice flour
- Sugar
- Baking powder
- Vanila flavour
- Food colour red
- Tapioca starch
- Soybean flour
Picture instructions;
Baking powder with 400ml water.
With everything else.
Cakevorms.
Cakevorms with mixture.
Result.
Wish i could have one!!:)

I love these Indonesian (Chinese-Nonya inspired) cake!
That is awesome that you are able to make it without fermented cassava nor eggs. I thought either those two were crucial to make the top of the cake 'popped' as seen on your picture.
