I'd give my right hand for some real bacon (panceta just barely cuts it). Or maple syrup. Or some extra crunchy peanut butter. Oh, oh; and some Mountain Dew! 3 years here and have never seen a Mt. Dew.

Mountain Dew and Dr Pepper were both at Jumbo years ago. Imports are very restricted because they want to force companies to build plants here if they want to sell here.
I wondered about that, even tried to look into it a bit (not a whole lot of good considering my understanding of spanish is bad). I can buy PepsiCo Lay's Potato Chips & Pepsi Cola but not Mt. Dew (made by PepsiCo).
Oh well. Got a business card from a friend back home of someone who flies from here to Oshkosh this time of year every year for the E.A.A. (Experimental Aircraft Association) Air Show.... perhaps I can twist his arm to bring back a few things next year.
