Even considering that fact that here in Russia this fruit doesn't grow in markets in Novrmber - December time we have it. And I want to say that I like it. I even make from it something like jam or let's say dessert . So I grind feijoa through a meat grinder and mix it with honey or sugar. Then I close the resulting dessert in glass jars. And it is the glass with a tight lid. This is due to the fact that if it is in contact with air, the ground feijoa oxidizes. But this method helps to preserve the product for a longer period and get vitamins in the winter and even at spring.
