When I was grocery shopping the other day I found myself in the mood for some candy. I went with a couple chocolate bars, one mint, the other with sea salt and almonds. It's dark chocolate and it's organic so it's not as sweet as I normally like but high quality regardless.
Endangered species is the brand, gluten are the bars. In the mint one here it says there are 3 servings per bar, 170 calories per serving, 11g total fat, 7g sat fat, 3g fiber, 8g sugars, 2g protein. Little iron and potassium as well.
I think these are really healthy if that's what you're looking for when it comes to candy, but if you want something sweet I would go with Hershey or another popular brand.
I always find the organic stuff to be quite nice, but more expensive...Like, by a long way. How were these priced in comparison to the other traditional chocolates?
@galenkp You're definitely right about the price difference. These normally go for 3.99 but they had a special 2 for 5.00 so I decided to make the purchase. I'm not exactly sure what a Hershey bar goes for these days, maybe 1.25-1.50. An extra dollar or so per bar for the higher quality organics.
