Taking a break from talking numbers. Too much of it recently (it was kinda fun tho tbh :D) and back a bit to where I began, @waybeyondpadthai.
I have actually been enjoy Thai food and all kinds of food Thailand has to offer. Mostly, street food, rice, noodle, rice, noodle and I can repeat countless time but.. Just a few days ago I rode past this cute little cafe in the old area. The sign is very catchy that I gotta be back to try!
It's so cool how they got the traditional Thai desserts and adapt them to all the fancy stuff cafes these days seem to offer.
Bua loi kai kem ice-cream
A kind of Thai dessert made with glutinous balls served in fragrant coconut cream plus a salted egg yolk (yes!) that gives a balanced sweet and salty taste.
Here, they kinda change the ingredients, mix and match to a bowl of coconut ice-cream with glutinous balls on the side, topped with creamy salted egg yolk sauce. Sprinkled with some crispy cracker bits. Make it pretty with a few types of flowers.
Tastes good not gonna lie. Very creative way of serving this Thai dessert we Thai used to in such different style. I would say this is rare as I don't really see it elsewhere so if you'd like to give this pretty looking bowl of Thai dessert a try, when you have a chance.. when COVID-19 really goes away.. will it? will it? Then head to YorYoi Thai dessert cafe in Nakhon Pathom.
