It is often said that, a nation cannot attain it's full stability without high level of food productivity. Our country, Nigeria, has produced more billionaires in the oil sector than the agricultural sector. Without much ado, every-one wants to go into the oil business so as to gain more income rather than the agricultural business. Thus, no one is interested in the farming business. The graduates, undergraduates, even the none educated are interested in the oil sector: O Nigeria, our great nation - Arise!, wake up from your slumber and change your thoughts. Agriculture has always been a viable sole business right from the time past. Our fore - fathers believed that a kingdom with mighty warriors without large portions of farm land is a diminishing kingdom. Why then did Nigeria of today abandon our age-old business to a business that has complications ?. Food can do without man, but man can't do without food. Starvation/ lack of food is a terrible disease that can be cured if we decide to go back to our fore-fathers business. We understand the grievance felt by those who suffer the pain of starvation and hunger, that's why we need to look into the main business, AGRICULTURE. Agriculture contributes to the nations wealth, although man's wanton destruction of the earth surface pitched against earth's own profuse generosity. Man has highly abused nature and so it is a stark reality that man cannot do without agriculture. O Nigeria don't be carried away by the subjective propaganda of crude oil. Some day, the crude oil might come to a finish, no matter how long it stays but you see my dear, Agriculture Lives for Ever.
