Today’s happy quote come from a 7 year old boy. I think happiness is also flying like Kiki from Ghibli Studio’s animation: Kiki’s Delivery Service! I’m sure during this period, everyone especially the food delivery staff all wish to have a flying broomstick like Kiki to deliver their food items, fast and safe! Nevertheless, they are already our hidden heroes, weathering the sun and shine (without a flying broomstick) to deliver our orders. Sincere appreciation to all Delivery staff once again! ❤️
Today’s foodart is made up of mainly butter cake and coffee butter cake which I baked yesterday, paired with strawberries, raspberries and earl grey tea. The cakes formed the broomstick for Kiki and her black cat, Jiji. I hope this foodart will bring a smile to all Studio Ghibli fans! Happy magical Monday! We all yearn for some magical skills like Kiki! 🤩🤩🤩
Haven’t been baking for a while because I was busy with work, celebrations and chocolate paintings! 🤪 So, I purposely planned time for baking today and it’s JW Cafe’s signature butter cake and coffee butter cake. At the end of the day, the best comfort food still goes to these classic flavors! Special mention to the new and pretty wooden serving tray from a dear friend! 😍

You only need very few and simple tools. Hehe 1 porcelain plate, 1 saucer to hold the syrup, chocolate syrup and 1 bamboo skewer (like a long toothpick) to draw. 🤗 Oh and tissue paper to erase.
