Oooooi! BBQ Lover this way!
The longer you are in an area, the more small hidden places you would find. A few weeks ago, I got a chance to go to this very small friendly vibe place. More like you go chill at a friend's house than an actual restaurant. Well, the place called 'Home away from house'. Not quite sure I understand what that means but, well, it's a home vibe that's what I can tell.
I found this by browsing around on Google Maps (Yup, typical huh?) and it's just in a walkable distance. Plus, it seems pretty hidden. It's not on the main road nor anywhere you would find just walking randomly. It's in a smaller little alley in a living area.
Let's get meaty
Took a few friends there and thank god! they all eat beef so we had a chance to try quite a good variety of meat. They serve such quality meat. You know it's good quality when the pieces start to get pretty thin, the price is almost out of the regular price range we eat normally and when you have a bite, it almost melts in your mouth. Yes, all that applies to the beef slices.
Pork is good too but we order fatty pieces. Not exactly melts in the mouths but the fat spread good :D So good with the rice or their spicy dipping sauce.
OMG! The dipping sauces
They provide 2 types of sauces. The first one I believe it's ponzu and the other one is our fav! Thai style seafood sauce contain garlic, chili, lime and fish sauce(?). I don't know how they make it but they make it real good. It's real spicy and sour. Great contrast with the grilled meat!
Soju!
Well, eating this kind of meal, there's no way we pass on alcoholic drink so we get a bottle of Korean soju to drink along with the meal. Ayeee, remind me of my Korea trip, literally.
How much for all these?
We ordered 2 sets of beef and 2 sets of pork. 3 bowls of rice and Soju. We ended up paying 680 THB each - Which is not bad at all. It's like all you can eat price but this, you get more of quality food. No, no need to stuff you face with too much food like going to a buffet either.
