RE: Winter's Sustenance - Blue Hubbard Squash

YUM yum. We lost most of our squash to fungi and squash bugs. Could have difinitely dug into This Hubbard for a few meals.Only a Few butternut volunteers from the compost yielded for us. Our favorite winter fare has been sweet potatoes , especially love the Japanese purple variety we grew.

Aww that's too bad about the fungi. I don't know if you already know this, but I just learned recently that fava beans is a great controller of fungus. Perhaps try interplanting them with your squash? Oh man sweet potatoes! I love those purple sweet potatoes. If I had to pick between squash and sweet potatoes, I'd probably choose the latter haha.
