One of the famous food in the southern part of the philippines is the "Kahang na Sinigang / Hinalang halang na Sinigang na baboy / Sinigang Baboy na Hinalangan or Home made Southern Filipino Traditional Spicy Pork Spare Ribs Vegetable Porridge Soup. This native dish is a combination of meaty spare ribs that melts in your mouth with lush with leafy green vegetables and spicy herbs perfectly blend the meaty spare ribs and its heavenly flavorful soup a mixture of spice, sour and sweet which will make you crave for more. It is one of the local dish in the south. It is very popular particularly in fiesta (festival) and of course during rainy season (the soup is a good source of heat and warm during cold weather). If ever you could visit the southern part of the country and you will be dining at a local eatery or cafeteria look for this kind of dish and you will never regret ordering this food.
