My princess's all time favourite - Kueh Lapis
九层糕 home made

Kueh Lapis, or Steamed Layer Cake / 九层糕, never fails to put a smile on my face. After all, who can forget having these as a child, peeling off the layers individually and slowly savouring each soft, springy layer of coconut-y goodness!

Ingredients:
160g tapioca flour

150g rice flour

300g sugar

¼ tsp salt

1 litre coconut milk

5 pandan leaves (knotted)

Food coloring (red and green )

Sort:  

My sister made some of these a couple of weeks ago. Very nice. I think we all eat it layer by layer when we were young. :-)
Seeing all your food posts makes me want to learn to cook and bake too. haha...
