The Vatican Museums Musei Vaticani is a museum of sculptures and works of art in the Vatican City, and offers a wide range of works owned by the Roman Catholic Church. The beginning of the establishment of the Vatican Museums dates back to a marble sculpture purchased by the Vatican some 500 years ago, a statue of Lacon and his sons, The Greek tried to persuade the Trojan people not to accept the gift of the Greeks, a hollow horse. The statue was discovered on 14 January 1506.
