As we’re approaching the final weeks before the FIFA World Cup, almost all participants are releasing their the squad selection.
While the whole nation was watching it on TV or was listening to the radio ....Roberto Martinez, manager of Belgium gave us the 28 names (5 of them will be dropped after the Portugal friendly) who would represent our country in Russia.
It turned out to be the biggest dissapointment of the year. And that all because of the ommission of Radja Nainggolan. It was the only topic in social medialand, front page news, all Red Devils fans were angry and in disbelief. And I am one of them.
How could this arrogant prick ignore one of our best players? A warrior who plays with the heart, who is for many years an undisputed leader for AS Roma, played a semi-final of the Champions League with AS Roma against Liverpool, has a terrific final pass and scores every year a dozen of screamers outside the box.
Mr Martinez told the press that it was a tactical decision, and that he flew to Rome to tell him that he wasn’t selected.
But for God’s sake, How can Martinez justify that he didn’t selected Radja in favour of Youri Tielemans (flopped at Monaco) Leander Dendoncker ( awful season for Anderlecht ) Nacer Chadli ( only played 900 minutes with West Brom) and Adnan Januzaj ( who was forgotten by almost everybody)? Simply...Not! He can’t!
There’s a storm creatief by one man, and the only option to save his neck...is the obvious one. Get Belgium to the final!
(Last year I met him after a game of the National team. In our early days we both played @ the same club, Tubantia )

Curious which 5 will be dropped from the squad: I am guessing: Selz, Boyata, Januzai, Benteke and one other.

Graag gedaan. Probleem is dat Martinez, Chadli als back up voor Carasco en Meunier ziet.
Die zie ik eigenlijk alle 3 niet graag spelen. Dan liever Jordan, die mist wat taktiek maar speelt met overgave!
Dat ze dan maar Witsel thuis laten!

Ja Chadli zal hij zeker ni thuislaten, en Witsel is zijne favoriete speler. Dus ik gok op Jordan, al vind ik idd ook dat die veel meer kan bieden dan Chadli. Tenslotte heeft hij toch wel een basisplaats bij Lazio afgedwongen.
Heeft idd veel meer in zijn mars dan de meeste denken.
Maar ja, we zullen het moeten doen met de spelers die die pippo selecteerd!

Ik ben trotse supporter van de Royal Antwerp FC 💪🏻😄. Wij leven terug, en we genieten. Maar als er 1 ploeg is waar we dit jaar 2x voetballes van hebben gekregen...dan is het wel Genk. Die eerste helft op de Bosuil kregen ze bij de 3e goal zelfs een klein applaus van ons 😄 en geloof me, da gebeurt ni veel. Succes alvast tegen Zulte.
Had veel liever tegen Lokeren gespeeld. Maar ja, als we het willen verdienen dan moeten we gewoon winnen!
Was wel blij dat Den Antwerp terug in eerste was. Prachtige supporters!
