Today is the day in which Bayer Leverkusen can win the German Bundesliga for the first time in history. The team has been close, but never this close... and I definitely hope they will end up winning today, several weeks before the season comes to an end.
I have a general attitude in which I never cheer for those teams that are the best on paper and because they have won everything in the last years. That is why I am very happy that Bayern München has performed poorly in the Bundesliga this year, and I also hope they will lose against Arsenal in the quarter-final of the Champions League in a few days. Of course, Arsenal is a big team as well, but they have been much further away from trophy's, so it would be refreshing to have them back in the top again, not just in the Champions League, but also in the Premier League.

Manchester City, however, is quite boring, and the fact that they won the Champions League, the Premier League, and the FA Cup last year is just straight out boring. They have been too good, probably because of a lot of money, and because Guardiola is a fantastic coach. But, I have got to be honest and say that I would much rather have Real Madrid win the Champions League than Manchester City. And I would be happy to see both Arsenal and Liverpool win the Premier League, as long as Manchester City doesn't win the trophy.
Back to the match today... Bayer Leverkusen is playing at home against Werder Bremen, a match they should normally win quite easily. Let us hope they will do so today, making the team able to lift the Bundesliga trophy high in the air for the first time!
