En el Cerro San Cristóbal, ubicado en el corazón de Santiago de Chile, hay una capilla católica en la cual se celebran oficios religiosos, contigua a un anfiteatro destinado para el mismo fin. Sobre esa terraza, unos escalones conducen a la estatua de la Virgen María, ubicada sobre una pequeña capilla consagrada a esa imagen de la Inmaculada Concepción y que fue visitada por el Papa Juan Pablo II. La estatua tiene catorce metros de altura y desde el anfiteatro se ve como lo muestra la fotografía. Seas católico, o no, el lugar y la vista de la ciudad desde allí, hacen que valga la pena visitarlo.
At Cerro San Cristóbal, located in the heart of Santiago de Chile, there is a Catholic chapel in which religious services are held, next to an amphitheater designed for the same purpose. On that terrace, steps lead to the statue of the Virgin Mary, located on a small chapel dedicated to that image of the Immaculate Conception and which was visited by Pope John Paul II. The statue is fourteen meters high and from the amphitheater it's seen as shown in the photograph. Whether you are a Catholic or not, the place and the view of the city from there make it worth visiting.
