Having just watched a football game by invite, I now have another invite.
There is one thing I have noticed since living here, and that is the Polish do not much like rules.
From paying tax to the police, they tend to take very little notice of them all, including government, and now it looks like I am getting my internet for free via p2p also. (clever buggers they are)
I was invited a few doors down to watch a game tonight, a few doors down is around a mile or so, and whilst watching the game I had noticed that it was being streamed by a box I had not seen before, more like a midi pc than a box, and without a monitor, the tv was the monitor, this got a full blown conversation going with 7 other people, all excited to explain this whole thing to me. (the football became a second best)
It turns out one of the locals received a letter from some internet company threatening them with prosecution for sharing files via p2p, and rather than just take it on the chin and stop, they devised a local network, away from the main internet, with a gateway to the internet, that is 1 way not two, it downloads, though does not allow uploads or any information to leave the network, clever buggers they are.
Now having moved here from the UK, and also knowing people back home that received these letters, makes this whole thing even more incredible, the Brits will roll over and desist, whilst the Polish look for ways around it. Not only around it, they now have a network outside the net, to share anything they want, and I have to say my hat is off to them. Never the victim, more the silent heroes it seems.

The network basics.
It was dark and they were trying to show me the small square digital transceiver on the roof, it was greyish in colour and around 12 x 12 inch, they transmit and receive via this their own network. From what I could understand it will work for around 70 miles between properties, and as long as there is someone within that distance with one powered on, you are in business.
I think I may have had something similar in Spain, though had to pay quite a lot of money for it every month, these people are offering it me for $40, including one of them installing it, with no monthly costs, and no more fees ever, bingo, count me in.
We had a few drinks while we were talking, and I threw a few ideas in, just for fun, though in reality it could work, if we/they got enough people to do this, area to area, are we not backward engineering the internet, though without restrictions? and without the need for the relentless bombardment on free speech and also without the need of fb, google and all the other tyrannical rules and regulators like the USA.
This could never reach the UK or could it? France to the UK is what 35 miles at sea? that is well within range. From these early talks, I understand this is spreading fast, and some German speakers are already on the network, which realistically means it is in Germany now also, and Belarus too. The latter is though only 70 kms away, the former is over a few thousand, which means this is spreading like wildfire right now right from here, from a tiny rural community in Poland.
If a tiny community of 20 to 30 people can start something like this.
Then imagine what a whole city of people could achieve? I may or may not post results, I may or may not in the future give details and specs. Why? because every country has different prices, voltages, availability and so on and so forth, and one thing I have very much learned in the past is this, you can lead a horse to water, you can not though make it drink.
The same applies to people. If I lay it all out in easy to read plans, most will find a reason not to do it anyway, the people that will, are the people I have just planted seeds in, they will be the ones on the other end of this net, talking to me within a year, and in you I trust, and in you I await.
Deliberators verdict = Ready for some freedom yet?
Have a splendid week one and all.

Nobody was injured in the making of this.
I would love to do something similar ... my neighbors have never been tech savvy enough to cooperate tho. I'm still a bit insulted by one of my former neighbors who I was always really kind to and still am; I asked to pay them in bitcoins (or cash) if they could share their wifi with me and I got denied. It stung pretty bad. I wasn't even asking to use it for free ...
This world is sick AF ...

Be aware . a lot of polish officials where attending Bilderberg this year .
Something could be coming .
Peace to all.
Yes I heard about that on here a few weeks back, thank you for the thought though.
Have a great week.
The idea of a totally independent internet is very appealing, especially as the EU is working on articles 11 and 13 soon to be ratified by their MEPeons. If we want to reclaim our freedom from the powers that be, we'll also need an independent power grid and an independent satellite system (we can't count on Zuckerberg obviously, Elon Musk will you please join the resistance?)
Don't expect to be saved by Musk, he is one of "them" if he were not, he would be flat broke already, in fact he is worse than broke, he is billions in debt.
My posts I do about food sharing, to low cost energy, to this latest one, show how everyone can be free, if they want to be.
I am, will you set yourself free?
Yes, I feared as much, and it is regrettable that some great minds succumb to the lures of the dark side. It is left up to us at the grassroots level. From a personal standpoint I am still on the grid. With no technological knowledge to get me away from that I have to find other ways to be subversive 🤓on one hand and add to the common good on the other 😇. I guess that is the beauty of all of us having different gifts and talents, that way we can transform this world on many different fronts at once. Keep posting on the p2p file sharing. It was a totally new concept to me and all knowledge has a knack of coming in handy...
Shhh I will not tell, much, every week, until everyone is FREE.
Ha great idea @deliberator .. Poland is becoming more attractive with each passing day!! There is a guy called Richard Stallman whom is one of the pioneers of the internet and a proponent for free and open source software .. when he saw the direction the corporatocracy wanted to take the net he built his own operating system and he offers all the software for free .. it's completely outside of the control grid!
When reading this I was reminded of the old saying "civilisation rises in hobnail boots and falls in silk slippers" .. look at Western Europe .. ain't that the truth!
Never a finer word spoken in jest or in truth!
Yes my friend, the west is pretty much doomed it seems.
I have gnu idea about that.
From where I'm standing (as a student of history) it's a slow-motion trainwreck. I'm going to write that migrant crisis post soon!
Sooner rather than later bro, timing is everything.
Awesome i love it when i here about peaple taking things into there own hands like what these peaple have done getting free internet. And i am realy liking the way the Polish seem to have little regard for rules and laws from what you tell us. Bring on the freedom :)
