When you mentioned having your ticket did you mean that you have your Captain's papers? Could you legally do charters? If so would running charters out of Bitcoin Beach in El Salvador on the Makina sound of interest to you? It goes without saying that only crypto would be taken as payment? :)
My tentative plan is to get down to Belize after the summer season here and from Belize go overland to check out El Salvador before committing myself by taking Makina through the Canal.
Well hopefully El Salvador can be scouted out in the meantime. It would be great to hook into the BTC economy. The only economy worth doing in my opinion.
Thought a straight up Boat Broker might do. Anchor a nice boat off Bitcoin Beach with some bikinis partying on deck. Should make for an easy close.
Sell for BTC and sail a new one down from CA or MEX the following week. Rinse and repeat.
It would be realistic for me to do all the marketing and online management, I have been thinking of that as an offer & speciality, including Bitcoin of course...
I'm totally capable of setting up an advanced, secure site running Drupal charging Bitcoin for anything like that. Actually got something super tentative going in in Cairo, Bitcoin booking & payments for small actors could be the thing...
Thanks, but unless its used in wild, daring ways then it will make most people end up in the Digital Gulag in the end haha!
I just did another video inspired from these comments, will post as soon as its rendered.
The current universe is so up for grabs for the right people with the right attitude, be they pirates, privateers or buccanneers haha!
Makes me remember the Southern part of Gran Canaria, that type of people lived up in the mountains there until the industrial revolution and even later on... Fascinating area, steepest roads I've ever done except for bandwaggons in the army...

I could have done that yes, did 2 weeks on two different boats in Croatia in 2005.
The first was a ~50 foot Privilege catamaran, huge as a freaking house! 24 feet beam haha!
Second was a 47 Jeanneau, with some interesting hours at Korcula when an unmanned Lagoon dragged across our anchor chain...
But I fear that the paperwork is rotting in digital hell, and also it would take me a while to get back in the game anyway.
And logbook? Hmmm...
I actually called a couple of schools recently to just ask where to start.
Now, if Bitcoin goes to 500k, well then I'll be on a plane haha, details can always be sorted out with cashflow!

Interesting fact, Makina was purchased with ETH.
I see, best use of Ethereum ever!

...so that could definitely include that!

Very cool skills to have. 😎👍
Took me 3 hours to get it uploaded, had to go to Bitchute to even get it out the door...
So that too is a real business opportunity, to build on video publishing! Far from the easiest quest, of course, since funding is essential.
Anyway, here is the post & video: https://ecency.com/blog/@lightworks/business-shenanigans-for-pirates-privateers?referral=lightworks
Over half way through the video now. You'll have to come up with a name for the series of such videos. The Boudoir Rants perhaps? ;)
