What is a hero? To some a hero may be one who kills many enemies. To others, a hero is someone who preserves life.
In this case, the word 'hero' is an individual that saves lives.
HELLBOY
He walks on 4 legs, weighs a ton and speaks not a single word of English. He is neither a soldier or militia. He is just a horse. Nevertheless, he was there when men with a justified reason to come did not. On several occasions this horse alerted us to encroaching danger and risked himself to perform a task he was not assigned. The end result was lives saved and his abduction and ransom by the federal government in retaliation for his alerting us to snipers.
I have personally accompanied this horse on grid searches. To say he is quiet is an absolute understatement. This horse can appear from the darkness without a sound like a ghost. He enjoys good conversation, a nose rub and all the apples and carrots he can get, even when he has to sneak them.
The man who rides him is Duane Ehmer. Duane was unjustly convicted in federal court of a felony for digging a trench to protect his friends and himself from sniper fire. This man was not afforded a fair trial and is now sentenced to a year in federal prison. In this time Hellboy will be in the care of family and friends but will need grass hay. The current stores are at 2 tons...7 will be needed. As Duane has lost nearly everything, including his Liberty, for standing UP, his friends and brothers are requesting assistance gathering bales of hay to feed our faithful mascot, Hellboy.
Partisan politics aside, can we feed this brave and noble creature?

Hi - I just found you because I am interested in finding out more about my local milita... I did a little online research tonite and https://steemit.com/freedom/@in2itiveart/chess-set-part-6-plus-the-3-and-the-colorado-militia and was not impressed by what I saw available here in Colo. Am I wrong in that it seems like the militias are dead? What do you suggest? I thought I might go to the local gunsmithing school and have a talk with people f2f to find out who the real people are. I am an old, out-of-shape female, armed - so I can't just "join up" - but I would like to at least get an idea what is going on... exactly.

Hellboy is all set and is currently near Sacramento. Duane has to now ride to Lompoc to turn himself in.
We managed to save his house as well and he will have a home to return to, though it has been vandalized in his absence. We all suffer that treatment sadly. (Someone broke my screen door in half sometime last summer when I traveled out east and others have had cars and property damaged.)
