@dj123 - he had to create it under him b/c I couldn't get mine to work : (
I tried to use an online texting site since I'm overseas right now & so I don't have a US cell phone & it didn't work.
I didn't even know that I wasn't approved until a year later : (
When I tried a second time it still didn't work & I had no idea why & I was quite turned off by all of this.
I even hunted high & low in SM FB groups to get someone to help me & they finally gave me the URL to the help area since it's nowhere to be found on this site/page : (
Tim wasn't even able to explain to me why I couldn't vote. He kept telling me there was something wrong with my computer, browser (Chrome), etc.
I finally said forget this & left again.
I'm not a newb to computers or the internet. I knew there was nothing wrong with my computer.
FINALLY someone told me that I had no steem power, but of course I had no idea what that was & how to get some & I didn't want to spend money on this site.
Tim didn't give me anything, but I'm at least greatful he got me the account.
This is why I haven't been getting people to sign up to SM was because of ALL the issues I've been having.
what country are from you, with a simple sim card you can signup and get a free 14.5 SP delegation for free from @Steem
that's how most of us got our accounts
@dj123 - You mean Steemit gives you money to start off with?
Yeh, but I don't want to get a new account. I need this user name since it matches my site & all my other groups, etc. : )
Thanks for the suggestion.
Do people have more than one account?
Just wondering since I'm used to FB where I can have different groups for different things like Health, Freedom, Farming, etc.
Yeah they do, at one time 50 Steem, then 30 Steem, by mid last year they were giving 5 SP, then 8 months ago 0.5 Steem and 27 SP, I think now it's 0.1 Steem and 14.5 SP.
Someday when Steem is $50, a new account would get 0.01 to 0.05 Steem and 5SP at best.
@dj123 - so I got nothing b/c he put it under his account? : (
Oh well, what can I do.
What's the difference between Steem & SP? You mean Steem dollars?
$50 per $1 USD?
Steem Power is when you powerup your Steem, it gives you the power to upvote others and yourself. SP also gives you bandwidth, without sufficient (a minimal) bandwidth you can't post, reply, transact, etc. continuously and you run out of bandwidth too quickly
do you plan to start posting regularly?
@dj123 - correct, I can't upvote. This is why I got pissed & left & NO ONE seemed to know what that meant.
I saw a very long thread on the differences between SD & SP, but it was too long for me to read.
Right now I can post, but can't upvote which sucks.
I will be posting more, but not every day. I'm very busy right now & I still have to learn how to style the posts.
Someone else said he was going to teach me, but he never came back. He must be busy or just forgot.
