ABOUT THIS GAME
Metro 2033 is set in the run-down metro system of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, where you have to fight for survival and the fate of humanity is in your hands.
In 2013, the earth was hit by an apocalyptic catastrophe and almost the entire human race was wiped out and the face of the earth was suddenly only a devastated, contaminated and fruitless steppe. A handful of survivors found refuge in the Moscow metro and a dark era of humanity began.
The year is 2033. One generation grew completely underground and the meager metro station 'cities' are fighting each other for survival and against mutated horror creatures lurking in the dark outside world.
They are Artyom, born in the last few days shortly before the disaster, but raised in the underground. Without ever really leaving the confines of your metro station, it's a fateful event for you to embark on a futile mission into the heart of the metro system to save the remnants of humanity from a dreadful threat. Your journey takes you from forgotten catacombs under the train system to the desolate deserts of the outside world, where your actions will determine the fate of humanity.
